About Dr. Kevin Baird
Dr. Kevin Baird was saved at age 18 and just a few months later received the call of God to the ministry. From that early age he was holding revival meetings, speaking on college campuses and eventually became a Lead Pastor at age 24. He has pastored for over 33 years.
Dr. Baird has been well educated earning a Bachelors Degree (B.A.) in Religion / Philosophy from Mid-America Nazarene University; a Masters of Divinity (M. Div.) in Historical Theology from Nazarene Theological Seminary; and a Doctor of Ministry degree (D. Min.) in History of Christian Thought from Evangel Theological Seminary. He has been a Pastor, National Conference speaker, college professor, and an international prophetic voice to this generation. He along with his wife Tracie, founded Legacy Church in 2002, an interdenominational, Spirit-empowered, local church in the Charleston, South Carolina area.
Dr. Baird has been a frequent media guest on various national cable news shows and local media outlets. He has been an analyst and commentator for talk radio programs with regards to the application of biblical principles and values in the civic arena. Through the years, he has participated in organized discussions, debates and forums on college campuses and graduate schools advocating for a return to biblically based values and policy to civic legislation.
Dr. Baird was the founder of the South Carolina Pastors Alliance which was established to help activate pastors into the arena of cultural engagement, public policy, and civil elections. He is currently on the executive board of The Alliance (SC) and is working to network Biblical Worldview Pastors into a national alliance of pastors. He is married to Tracie, his college sweetheart of 34 years, and has 3 children, a “daughter-in-love”, and an incredible grandson.
